Dispute Resolution Board The Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) is one of the most successful tools for controlling construction disputes. A DRB is a panel of impartial construction professionals selected by the owner and contractor at the beginning of a project. The DRB assists in keeping issues from becoming disputes, and provides non-binding resolution of disputes that do occur. The strength of this tool is the Board’s familiarity with the work and project players, plus availability on short notice to help resolve problems.
The DRB process has an impressive record for all types of public and private projects including mass-transit; building construction and renovation; utility; paving; and aviation projects.
